Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 1 June 2026 · How to delete your EcoTracker account and data
EcoTracker (developed by EcoTracker Pvt. Ltd.) lets you request deletion of your account and all data associated with it. Account deletion is currently handled by our team by email — there isn't an in-app delete button yet. To start, email ecotracker.np@gmail.com and we'll take care of the rest.
By email
Write to ecotracker.np@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address on your account or mentioning the phone number you registered with.
Within 30 days
We verify your request, then permanently delete your account and data within 30 days and confirm by email.
How to request deletion
Send an email to ecotracker.np@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address on your account or mentioning the phone number you registered with. We will verify the request and delete your account within 30 days. Because there is no in-app delete option yet, email is the only way to remove your account for now.
What gets deleted
All your personal data is permanently removed: your name, phone number, email, home address and location, household survey answers (family, vehicle, appliances, water systems, animals), the data extracted from your bills, transaction and points history, and any eco-points balance. (Your bill photos themselves are never stored — see below.)

- •Anonymised / aggregated data (which cannot identify you) for statistics
- •Any records we are legally required to keep, for the period required by law
About your bill photos: we do not store the images you upload. Each photo is read only by our automated AI — never by a person — and is deleted right after your carbon estimate and points are calculated. Only the figures it reads (items, amounts, usage) are kept, and those are removed when you delete your account.
Timing & confirmation
Deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Once your account is deleted it cannot be recovered, and any unredeemed Eco-Points are forfeited. We'll send a confirmation to your registered email when the process is complete.
