Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and EcoTracker, developed by EcoTracker Pvt. Ltd.. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. EcoTracker has no age restriction and may be used by people of any age; we recommend that children use it with the guidance of a parent or guardian. By using EcoTracker you confirm you can form a binding agreement, or that a parent or guardian accepts these Terms on your behalf.

2. The service

EcoTracker lets households scan food, electricity and water bills to receive estimated carbon-footprint figures, earn Eco-Points, and redeem those points for discounts at participating partner shops. Features may change, improve or be discontinued over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login and 6-digit PIN confidential. You agree to provide accurate details and to notify us of any unauthorised use of your account. You may delete your account at any time, as described on our Account & Data Deletion page.

4. Eco-Points & rewards

Eco-Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and can only be redeemed within EcoTracker for offers made available by partner shops. We may adjust how points are earned, expire or redeemed, and may reverse points obtained through error, fraud or abuse. Unredeemed points are forfeited if your account is closed or deleted.

5. Partner shops

Discounts and offers are provided by independent partner shops, not by EcoTracker. We are not responsible for the goods, services, pricing or conduct of any partner. Disputes about a purchase should be raised with the shop directly. Merchants using the partner dashboard agree to honour the offers they publish and to confirm redemptions accurately.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• •Upload fake, altered or other people's bills to earn points dishonestly.
• •Abuse the referral or volunteer programme, or create accounts to game rewards.
• •Interfere with, reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the service.
• •Use EcoTracker for any unlawful purpose.

7. Estimates disclaimer

Carbon figures, trees-to-offset and percentile comparisons are estimates generated from the information available on your bills and profile. They are intended to raise awareness and may not reflect precise emissions. EcoTracker does not guarantee scientific accuracy and the figures should not be relied on for regulatory, financial or offsetting-purchase decisions.

8. Limitation of liability

EcoTracker is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost points, or losses arising from partner offers, inaccurate estimates, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms from time to time; the new version will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. These Terms are available in English and नेपाली.
